It wasn't a police-style, you-have-the-right-to-remain-silent procedure (left), but all 78,014 fans entering Arrowhead Stadium for the Chiefs-Jets game Sunday were patted down for the first time, Chiefs spokesman Bob Moore tells Crime Scene KC.
Level of contraband nabbed?
"Aw, there wasn't anything," Moore says. Some people hauled in lots of barbecue from the parking lots, not knowing it's against the rules to bring in lots of food. "The actual process went very, very, very smoothly. When the kickoff was there, the placed was filled."
The peaceful inaugural pat-down corresponds to the low number of fan arrests reported by police - "The people here fairly well respect the rules," Moore says. Twelve teams patted fans down last year. The rule is mandatory this year, he said.
