KCPD spouse gets school-threat cell phone call

From Kansas City police 3:11 p.m.:

  • On Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at about 5:30pm, a KCMO Police Officer's wife received a voice mail message on her personal cell phone, from someone (male) she did not know. The call seemed to indicate a threat was made against a school. The voice mail threat specifically said, "You are going down tomorrow at school cuz". No other specific threatening information was discernible in the voice mail. It appears the caller may have called the wrong number.
  • This information was forwarded to all KCPD division stations, local school district security offices and school resource officers to advise them that a general threat was received and to be aware of and report any suspicious activities in or around schools.
  • Detectives are investigating this incident.
