...headed over to 7th and Minnesota in KCK to ride along in Center District, I think they call it, with the Kansas City, Kan./Unified Government Police Department, 2 p.m. to about 10 p.m. or 11 p.m.
...should be some interesting stories.

I wouldn't say the officers were excited, but the reception was quite cordial and friendly. PO Sandy Carrera, especially, was great to ride with. She's a very dedicated cop - 11 years on the force, loves her job. But her fellow officers we ran into were also nice.
Obviously I'm sure they were a bit guarded in what they said around me...but, as always, these ride-alongs are eye-opening and well worth it. I hope you go on one, and good luck!
I plan to post about my ride-along today if I can get to it!
