Guilty plea in coke conspiracy

• KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Todd P. Graves, United States Attorney for the Western District of Missouri, announced that a Kansas City, Mo., man pleaded guilty in federal court today to participating in a conspiracy to distribute cocaine and to carrying a firearm in relation to a federal drug trafficking crime.

KC homicide #116 ID'd

From Kansas City police, 1:10 p.m. today:

• The Homicide victim from 1835 E. 67th Terrace has been positively identified as Loren K. Collins, white male, 08/12/1983 of the Kansas City area. Detectives are continuing their investigation of this case. No suspects are in custody and anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 474-TIPS (8477).

Chiefs fans ain't misbehavin': 1 arrest

   When the Chiefs win and they don't play the hated Raiders, fans apparently are more law-abiding.  Police arrested just one fan at the Chiefs game against the Patriots on Sunday. Police didn't know what the offense was, but said it was only a city charge. And if you're wondering about the stats from the Houston game, we're still waiting. Those Texans are slooooowww...

ID of KC homicide #115

                          From Kansas City police:

The victim from the homicide who was found inside a residence in the 6600 block of Agnes has been identified as David B. Tuggle, a 37 yr old male who lived alone at the residence.  There are no suspects in custody and Homicide Detectives are asking that anyone with information in regard to his death to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.

From Kansas City police:

• On November 23rd, 2005, at approximately 10:15pm, KCMO Police were called to a residence in the 6600 block of Agnes in regard to a dead body.  Upon arrival officers located the resident, a 37 yr old male, inside the residence deceased.  A family member of the victim called the police after finding his body.  The death is being investigated as a homicide by the Murder Squad.  There are no suspects in custody and anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477. 

• This is homicide #115 for 2005, compared to 82 at this time in 2004.

Jewelry store diamond theft

From Kansas City police, 10:38 a.m.

• On November 16, 2005 an unidentified white male about 20-25 years old, walked into the Crown Jewelry Store located at 6141 NW Barry Road, KCMO. After asking the clerk to see rings, he ran out of the store with 4 rings valued by the store at over $26,000 dollars. A copy of the stealing report and a CD containing a surveillance photo of the suspect is available at the first floor security desk - Police Headquarters. Any further information regarding this case can be obtained from the case detective Paul Hartke at North Patrol Division 234-5545. KC homicide #116

                        From Kansas City police, 2:39 a.m. today:

• On Monday, November 28th, 2005, at approximately 1:30am, KCMO Police were called to the area of 67th Ter. and Paseo in regard to a shooting.  Upon arrival officers located a male victim (believed to be in his 20's) suffering from an apparent gun shot wound.  Mast responded to the scene and pronounced him dead.  It appears the victim was inside of a vehicle when he was shot.  Witnesses state they heard approximately 5 gun shots prior to calling the police.  There is no suspect information at this time.  Please call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477 if you have any information in regard to this case.
