Uses of cell phone as food product
By Greg Reeves
The bizarre story today of the Blue Springs woman who tried to swallow a cell phone to keep it away from her boyfriend caused me to research this topic extensively on the Internet, for 10 minutes.
A woman swallowing a cell phone may be unique in history, based on the theory that everything is on the 'Net and I didn't find any other swallowing instances.
But I did find these:
Man eats phone chip to spite service
Corruption suspect swallows phone chip
Phone rings in dog's stomach
German movie: Dog swallows owner's phone so owner uses pooch as handset

Had the woman who swallowed the cell phone died, I would have been first in line to nominate her for a Darwin Award for removing herself from the gene pool.

A respectable journalist would've taken the time to find out the model of phone swallowed!

She obvousily believed in evolution vs. intelligent design. she though she could evolve her body around her phone.

I'll try to find a respectable journalist to do just that! :)

I heard that swallowing a phone gives you cell-ulite. I wonder where she put her I-Pod?

You have to wonder...
Is the boyfriend sticking by his woman through this?

Will the anonymous person who called our city desk claiming to be a relative of the woman please call me at (816) 234-4366?

As Mary Poppins said (sang), "Just a spoonful of sugar helps the telephone go down."
