Mysterious dog deaths rattle southeast Michigan community
SUPERIOR TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — At first, piles of skinned animals, mostly foxes and coyotes, turned up on the edges of dirt roads in this semi-rural community outside Ann Arbor.
Things took a more shocking turn on March 16, when what appeared to be someone’s pet was found along with more skinned coyotes. The Rottweiler had been decapitated and its feet were bound with duct tape.
Online posts offer rooms in exchange for sex
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — In Atlanta, an online ad offers a room in exchange for “sex and light office duty.” In Los Angeles, a one-bedroom pool house is free “to a girl that is skilled and willing.” And in New York City, a $700-a-month room is available at a discount to a fit female willing to provide sex.
On the widely used Web site Craigslist.org, some landlords and apartment dwellers looking for roommates are offering to accept sex in lieu of rent.
Amnesty Int'l: 156 deaths in U.S. after Taser use
WASHINGTON (AP) — The number of people who have died in the U.S. after being shocked by police stun guns is growing rapidly, Amnesty International says in a report that catalogs 156 in the past five years.
Taser has called similar studies flawed because they link deaths to Taser use when there has been no such official conclusion.
