Avila basketball player charged with rape

Authorities have charged a basketball player at Avila University with rape for allegedly assaulting a student in a dormitory hallway early Sunday.
The Jackson County prosecutor’s office today charged Harold Cade, 22, with one count of sodomy and one count of rape and requested that he be held on a $250,000 cash-only bond.
Cade lives in the same dorm on the school’s campus as the victim. The dormitory is coed, with men and women living on alternating floors.
The 18-year-old victim told police that she returned to her Ridgeway Hall dorm room about 2:30 Sunday morning. After dropping off some items, she left the room to use the restroom and make a phone call.
She said she saw Cade, who she recognized, in the hallway. She told police she wanted to avoid him so she sat in the hallway and began using her cell phone.
According to a court document, she said Cade sat down beside her and began talking to her. He then allegedly and touched her inappropriately and continued to assault her until someone opened a door. He then jumped up and left.
A witness saw Cade walking away with his pants unzipped, according to the court document.
The victim went to a friend’s dorm and reported the rape. She was taken to the hospital by a family member.
Police took Cade into custody Sunday. He told an investigator that he had consensual sex with the victim and that she was upset and crying after the sex.

Something doesn't smell right. She couldn't have screamed or gone into her room and locked the door?

You'd probably be scared speachless too if a giant Neanderthal was on top of you.

Sometimes my boss leaves his pants unzipped on accident and will walk around for the better part of the day looking like a 2nd grader. I dont think it goes to show he raped someone. Just because he is doofus, doesnt mean anything. Hell, most basketball players cant even keep their pants at their waist, let alone keep 'em zipped up.

Anyone ever hear of false accusations? Probably looking for a quick payout like most rape seekers err um "victims" are.
