Leawood: Battlin' couple, solicitor

Leawood_pd_badge_36Daily report from Leawood police.

Today: A man was arrested in the 2000 block of West 138th Terrace in connection with a domestic assault that happened in March, Leawood PD Major John Meier told me.

The man and his girlfriend filed cross-complaints against each other at the time, Meier said. There was no physical evidence of a battery, so police sent the matter to prosecutors, who decided to charge the man.

A resident called police  about a woman going door to door in the 2200 block of West 120th Street. The woman - not from Leawood - was arrested for soliciting without a license, Meier said.
