Alleged illegal alien transporter arrested

A Houston man and 16 suspected illegal aliens were taken into federal custody after a citizen complaint about illegal aliens, federal prosecutors said.
Jaime Hernandez-Rojas, 39, who is a Mexican citizen and lawful permanent resident of the United States, was charged with transporting a group of illegal aliens arrested Wednesday in Haysville.
When deputies approached the van,  passengers fled on foot. Deputies caught 16 passengers and the driver. National origins: Mexico (1), Guatamala (4), El Salvador (11).
