KCK police officer Ryan Fincher was seriously injured when he became involved in a two-vehicle accident on his way home shortly before 5 p.m. Thursday, police said.
The collision occurred just south of 130th Street and U.S. 24. Fincher, who suffered a compound fracture of the tibia and a concussion, underwent surgery. News release
In March 2003, Fincher was shot four times when he answered a domestic disturbance call. A man wearing two bulletproof vests and armed with a semi-automatic rifle stepped from behind a wall and began shooting. Story
