Maria Ortega, feds are looking for you

Maria_de_ortega_1U.S. Attorney Eric Melgren in Kansas has put out this APB:

  • PUBLIC'S ASSISTANCE REQUESTED
  • United States Attorney Eric Melgren requests the assistance of the public in locating Maria Leticia Ortega, 44, 2314 S. Green, Wichita.
  • A federal warrant has been issued for Ortega’s arrest on charges of aggravated identity theft. Ms. Ortega is a Mexican national unlawfully present in the United States.

Well, Ms. Ortega called the AP and said she and kids were high-tailing it back to Mexico. This case is actually wrapped up with her husband's:

WICHITA, Kan. (AP) - Authorities on Wednesday arrested a former Cessna Aircraft worker who went public with claims that the company used his illegal immigration status to avoid paying for his medical treatment after an on-the-job injury.
