WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - The rapper DMX failed to show up in court Wednesday to face a bevy of bad-driving charges, and a judge who had granted him two postponements said she had had enough.
City Court Judge Barbara Leak issued an arrest warrant for DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons and whose albums include "It's Dark and Hell Is Hot" and "Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood."
"We have granted him a number of courtesies," the judge said. "It ends now."
Last year, DMX served 70 days in jail for violating his parole following a 2004 incident in which he posed as an undercover federal agent and crashed his SUV through a security gate at John F. Kennedy International Airport.
A week after he pleaded guilty in that incident, state police accused him of driving over 100 mph on Interstate 684 in North Castle, in Westchester County.
