Ex-convict sought after Basehor incident

Kirtis_1

Basehor police are looking for an ex-convict who they say forced his way into his wife’s apartment over the weekend.
Authorities have expanded their search for Kirtis S. Davenport, 25, to the entire metropolitan area after narrowly missing him Wednesday night in Kansas City.
Investigators say they are seeking the public’s help because Davenport told a detective Sunday that he would kill anyone who “messes with me, my wife and children.”
Allegedly:

  • Beat his wife while waving a gun.
  • Came back later, armed with a gun, kicked in the door.
