A federal immigration official convicted in 1994 of smuggling marijuana has been captured in El Paso, Texas after 12 years on the run. Authorities say Jose Trinida Carrillo, a former agent of the Immigration and Naturalization Service, failed to report for sentencing after his conviction and eluded capture by staying in Mexico.
