One of the victims in the 6902 Club shooting was a working father of six "who just went out with a friend":
‘This is not a gangster’
After a stray bullet struck Marlon S. Gunnels on Friday night inside a nightclub on Prospect Avenue, doctors told him he might never walk again.
Despite the grim news, Gunnels remained upbeat, because he had survived the shooting that wounded eight people, said his cousin Wil Adams.
But Gunnels, 35, died in a hospital Monday morning, Christmas Day.
