Highlights of indictments by the U.S. attorney's office in Kansas:
- Sand-and-gravel business owner Hugh Barker, 50, faces up to three years in prison and a $250,000 fine for creating a dam made of broken concrete, woody debris, rebar and lumber fragments to divert water illegally from the East Sand Creek in Harper, KS.
- Lenny A. Horton, 34, Brighton, Colo., is charged with one count of possession with intent to distribute approximately 682 pounds of marijuana. The crime is alleged to have occurred Dec. 18 in Wyandotte County.
