John Shultz has a very good story today on Chris Bartholomew, the Westport shooting victim who was taken off life support. From the story:
The shooting started and everyone froze — a boisterous closing-time bar crowd reduced for a moment to statues.
Down 39th Street, toward the Grand Emporium, bullets fired by a gunman in another car slammed into a Dodge Charger. Near Broadway, in the parking lot of Walgreens, Chris Bartholomew shouted for people to get down and pushed a man to safety.
Those were among his last acts.
