A Missouri appeals court won't reconsider its decision to reverse the conviction of Steven Rios. Rios is a former Columbia policeman who was convicted of murdering Mizzou student Jesse Valencia back in 2005. His conviction was kicked because of hearsay evidence introduced during his trial. (One of Valencia's friends said he threatened to reveal his affair with Rios unless a traffic ticket got dismissed.)
Prosecutors plan to retry Rios.
