Sheriff has a different way of tracking down illegal immigrants

A Florida sheriff is catching some heat for how he tracks down illegal immigrants: His deputies pull up to a construction site, and they arrest anybody who runs away.

The workers are usually brought to jail for minor charges, such as cutting through someone's yard or speeding. Then the sheriff's office turns their names over to the immigration authorities. The crackdown is troubling to the ACLU -- and the local developers who rely on the cheap labor.
