MO police dog shot in head while chasing suspect

UPDATED: The Globe reports that Cezar has lost an eye and suffered a shattered eardrum.

PREVIOUSLY: A Joplin police dog, Cezar, was shot in the head while chasing a suspect early today, but is expected to survive. The suspect, who was accused of robbing a restaurant, was arrested after a standoff.

Cezar has got to be one of the most beautiful GS I have ever seen. Sadly, I imagine his career is most likely going to end in retirement.

This seems to be a date that unfortunately seems to have tragic events.
