Benefit for Olivia Raya scholarship

The family and friends of murder victim Olivia Raya are raising money for a scholarship at her alma mater, Rockhurst University. (Olivia graduated with a bachelor's degree about a week before she was killed a few years ago.)

They've planned a fiesta from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday at KCK's Pierson Community Center, 1800 South 55th St. Tickets are $15 at the door, though they're $10 in advance at Sylvia's Deli.
