From Bob Cronkleton's report: A 22-year-old Kansas City, Kan., man was in the hospital today after being shot in the back overnight.
The shooting occurred about 10:10 p.m. near 9th Street and Oakland Avenue in northeast Kansas City, Kan. The man told police he heard a gunshot and then was hit.
The victim’s injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, but his condition was not available this afternoon. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 913-573-6020 or the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477).
