MO ticket-scalping law expires Wednesday

After that, it'll be legal to scalp tickets for games and concerts in Missouri. The AP has a story noting how the Missouri AG has been trying to use the law while it's still in effect -- and points out that until the repeal was passed, the AG only prosecuted one scalping case.

Pretty stupid law if you don't plan on enforcing it (and it's not well written). I just bought tickets for the Rams-Steelers game that were about 70% over face value. Not bad, but people find ways around laws. A lot of Ebay auctions say they'll give you a trading card of "unspecified value" to make up the difference in price.

There should be a law against scalping...er, oh, ahem, O.K. there was... Oh Nevermind.

Marvin.. why would you pay to see the Rams and Steelers? That's worse than paying to watch the Chefs

BH,

I'm a Steelers fan, and we're BETTER than the Chiefs! Seriously, I haven't been to many games since they're obviously out-of-town. This was too convenient to pass up.

ahhh that spains it then.. go steelers.. (I have to be for someone now that the Chefs are out of it..
