Finally! Scientists develop Taser shotguns

I'm still upset that it's 2007 and we still don't have mass-market jetpacks, but this goes a long way toward soothing my hurt feelings, scientists. Sadly, it still needs to be field-tested, so they're not available to give as Christmas presents.

Hat Tip: Many thanks, You're A Mean Drunk R2D2!

I sooooo want one of those. And they increased the shock time from 5 seconds to 20. What could go wrong there?

I saw this on the Discovery channel a week or two back on Modern Weapons (I think that's the show...the host is a little off his rocker, but weapons he demonstrates are neat)

anyway, basically the same thing as a taser, but they've packaged everything in a shotgun casing. the longer shock time is so that the officer has time to run over to the target safely.

That show is called "Future Weapons" and is such a great show. :)

I want a taser cannon.

don't tell anyone but i've been working on a taser proof vest

risky, does that taser proof vest protect the genitals too? Otherwise it will just give the cops a reason to aim for the junk.

I'm working on a Taser that can be deployed over the internet against liberal blog commenters.

I'm working on a rubber vest and some glue so that if you try to taze me over the internet it will bounce off of me and stick to you!!! :)

Dont worry R2, they are not that good of a shot!

What a coincidence, dfbarnes. I'm working on a Taser that can be deployed over the internet against conservative blog commenters. Perhaps we could work cooperatively...
