Blogger.com is investigating the complaint. I kind of hope they find who was writing it. Would like to know if this person knows the parties involved or is just pulling details from their nether regions.

Me too. Since the same buffoons who decided there was no law that covered what Drew did, are now saying they will use the same laws to protect her, it should highlight the absurdity of making laws without regard to the unintended consequences.
Besides, there's still a fairly good chance Drew was just as indirectly involved with creating this site as she was with the Josh account. She seems to have the credibility of a lawyer.

Nick: Really? I was kind of surprised that so many people believed that Lori Drew had anything to do with this. The way it's written obviously makes her look much, much worse.
Don't get me started about Internet law ... Web-based communication is constantly changing, and our legislators suck at keeping up with it. Every so often, I'll read a news report about a judge or representative who doesn't have the foggiest idea what IM or email are -- but are deadset on making rules to run the system.

I really don't know that she did have anything to do with it James, but, the intelligence she has shown prior to the creation of that site leaves the possibility open by my way of thinking.
Don't even get me started on how little politicians and judges know about that which they regulate. I've seen it first hand. In the early days of digital imaging, I was on loan by the state to give, "experts" a block of instruction on how to validate a digital image. Truth was, my own qualification were no more than being BBS owner, limited use of DARPA technologies and a beta tester for Photoshop previous to v.1.
Unfortunately, these people still have not learned, and base their judgment entirely on the lobby groups dedicated to making the Internet thier own personal property.
I understand COX has already begun regulating what sites their customers can visit. Next it will be charging extra to access other than they deem fit.

Nick - Where did ya hear about COX blocking sites? I am a COX customer unfortunately and would like to hear more about that....

I think I got the articles on them and Comcast through RSS feeds Jonathan. Probably from Broadband Reports, EFF, Slashdot or Information Week.
You have to pay close attention to what these people are doing. MSM and these folks are joined at the hip so no one will publicize the stuff they pull.
For instance the latest stunt is Western Digital now secretly installing software on their hardware that prevents you from sharing audio and video files. You simply do not get a manufacturer to do some crap like this without very shady financial compensation being involved.

Oh yeah, another of COX's favorite tricks. Throttling Bandwidth. If they don't want you to use a site, they can throttle the bandwith and make it virtually impossible for you to do anything. It is a prelude to "premium content" scams that are in the pipe.

You butt holes, can't you see that someone threatening a teenage girl could cause her to become distraught and do something awful? Do you not remember what it was like to be a teen? Maybe it wasn't awful for you to be a teen. It was awful for me to be a teen, and that was 30 years ago. I am still living out thee fallout from that. Jesus. Get a heart.

Darlin, set the wine glass down and get a grip. It is almost universal agreed that what this woman did was reprehensible. No one disagrees with you.
