They've found Seth Guerrero

UPDATED: They've found Andrew Guerrero and Seth in Denton, Texas, KCK police say. Seth is fine. The elder Guerrero is in police custody. Here's a link to the paper there.

UPDATED: KCK police have released the names of the woman and girl killed. Nicolette Lyons-Reed was 23. Her 8-month-old daughter was named Leah Lyons-Reed. Meanwhile, several blogs and news sites are putting the word out.

A young woman and a baby girl were found shot to death this morning in Kansas City, Kan.

Police issued an Amber alert to help find a person of interest in the deaths, a man who they said might be heading to Mexico with a 3-year-old boy.

About 11 a.m., police were called to a shooting in the 2000 block of South 10th Terrace. They found the woman and infant dead at the scene.

Police asked for help finding Andrew Anthony Guerrero, whom they want to talk to about the crime. Guerrero is a 23-year-old Hispanic man, 5 feet 9 inches tall and 170 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. They think he is traveling with 3-year-old Seth Guerrero.

Investigators also are looking for two vehicles that may be connected with the incident, a silver 2004 Nissan truck bearing Kansas plate 503 AEA and a silver 2004 Saturn SUV with Kansas plate XTY 310.

The Kansas City, Kan., Major Case Unit urged anyone with information to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (474-8477).

Here's KSHB's report. Anthony Guerrero is Seth's dad, they say, but not the father of the little girl who was killed:

Kansas City, Kan., Police Department spokeswoman Jackie Waters said the boy's father, 23-year-old Andrew Guerrero, has been named as a person of interest in the case. Andrew Guerrero is not the father of the girl who was killed, Waters said.

Relatives said they hadn't been able to reach Seth's mother for about a day. When the children's grandmother went to check on the family, she discovered the crime scene.

Neighbors of the older victim said she was in her 20s, worked at the library and had lived in the KCK home for two years.

If you have nothing better to do than post ignorat, unnecessary bigotry, GET A JOB! Andrew was/is NOT illegal, and whoever made the myspace comment - his profile is private, so no one can see it. If you knew him, you would know he would NEVER hurt his son - his son was his life. Please, stop posting comments that you can not back up. Now here is a real spin on this whole deal.
He is in Iraq, fighting for the US and he sees, on a daily basis, how Iraq men treat their women. For Iraq women, an unfaithful wife is a death sentence and they are stoned/killed for their "crime". He gets back home and finds out his wife has another baby by another man. WELL what do you suppose goes through his mind next.
Problem solved the Iraq way. Now what do you think of all the veterans coming back from the war. You think maybe they might have a hard time settling back into OUR society. Not trying to say this is right, just a different viewpoint.

I don't know these people but just what I heard about people dowing her about filing for divorce while over in Iraq was wrong, I believe that is when she felt safe enough to do it. Either way what he did was wrong. He should have just left her alone and went on with his life as she did with hers.
