Did John Denver karaoke lead to Thailand killing spree?

Denver Thai police say a man killed eight people at his neighbor's house after he got sick of listening to them sing karaoke. (It's not clear if John Denver's "Country Roads," which had been sung a few times, set him off.) Among the victims was the suspect's brother-in-law. The Telegraph interviewed the accused man:

"When I began shooting nobody pleaded for his life because they were all drunk," he said after his arrest.

He said he was so furious  with their awful singing that he did not notice he had murdered his  own  brother-in-law.

"I warned these people about their noisy karaoke parties. I said if they carried on I would go down and shoot them. I had told them if I couldn’t talk sense into them I would come back and finish them off," he added.

I'm sorry people died, but there's a Saturday Night Live skit here.

Who among us hasn't wanted to "pull the plug" on people playing rap music?

But karaoke, c'mon, this is funny.

He was just mad in general. With a name like 'Weenus Chumkamnerd', who could blame him?

I'm not trying to condone what this man did, but until you've lived with neighbors who crank the stereo night after night you don't realize what a huge effect it has on your life. I could see this happening if they kept this up for a period of time.

Hows comes it don't say nuttin bout the two I closed out. ( Young Guns )
