Greeting cards for inmates

This is fantastic. Apparently, a lawyer named Cheathem was having trouble finding a greeting card to send her imprisoned brother-in-law, so she decided to start her own company to make them. ("There weren't any cards on the shelf that said anything like, 'Hey, you must make better choices,'" she said.)

While some of the cards are duly sympathetic, others put a loving boot in the inmate's keister. From one of the company's Christmas cards:

You had the choice to be “naughty or nice.”  And you chose . . . . . . .

Wow, where can I buy in on this? Ought to be a winner.

With ever-expanding incarceration rates, I would think this a potentially huge market. Speaking of which, I gotta shop for a Bday card for my family inmate, which CAN in fact be a challenge. Can't really rely on the old "party 'til you puke" humor in that situation.

An aside: I wonder if Ms. Cheathem is the partner in "Dewey, Cheathem, and Howe" fame that represents the "Car Talk" guys?

Wasn't Johnny Carson the originator of Dewey, Cheathem and Howe?

Jane, now that you mention it, I think so. Click and Clack have been using that line for some time now. Johnny Carson was a long time ago and I'm, well, old. Thanks for the memory jolt! ;-)

You're most welcome... those were very funny days, weren't they?

Interesting but not original. I have been buying cards from InsideOutz for my man for sometime now. Their cards really hit the spot.
