MO man accused of carjacking a horse-and-buggy

The story is, of course, from the Jamesport area, which has a big Amish population, the News-Press reports. (All the guy wanted was a ride, which the Amish man probably would've given him if he asked nicely.)

The suspect is also accused of armed robbery in Chillicothe over the weekend. The buggyjacking allegedly happened Tuesday and led to a SWAT team response at a mobile home, where the suspect was arrested.

Comments

wouldn't this be a buggy-jacking?

So long as we don't call it horse-jacking.

I thought about calling it a buggyjacking, but it looked weird as a headline, if that makes any sense.

Just curious does Missouri still "Hang" people for "Horse-stealing" Because he did steal a Horse and buggy.
