Police search for shoplifters targeting Sears Grand stores

From Crime Stoppers TIPS Hotline:

The Liberty Police Department is attempting to identify four suspects in a recent string of thefts from Sears Grand stores in Liberty and Merriam, Kansas. The subjects enter the store, split up, and remain in communication using cell phones.

They place flat screen TV's, video game systems and other electronics in a cart. Then one subject will go to the parking lot and drive to the front doors in either a silver Cadillac Escalade or a gold Chrysler Concorder. Then the other subjects run out the front doors with the items, get into the vehicle and flee the area.

In one incident the vehicle was pursued by police and was able to evade officers in the area of 7th and Winona in Kansas City, Kansas. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 816-474-TIPS.  A cash reward is available for information leading to an arrest.

Comments

This is EXACTLY why marijuana should be legalized - I've never known any pot smoker who could come up with a plot this energetic and intricate, much less get friends to go along with it.

Unless daydreams count.

What we have here is a case of the criminals being much smarter than the rest of the real shoppers that frequent these stores.

They're just mexicans for gods sake! How hard can it be to find 4 illegal thugs in this City... oh yeah never mind.

i doubt they get any "TIPS" for this one.
