11 DUI arrests during OP checkpoint

From OP Police: The Overland Park, Kansas Police Department and several Kansas police agencies conducted a DUI Checkpoint on April 18, 2008.  The DUI Checkpoint was conducted with the intent to reduce alcohol related auto accidents and discourage impaired driving.

Please review the statistical results:

466 - Vehicles entered the Checkpoint
35   - Drivers tested for DUI
11   - Drivers arrested for DUI
2     -    Drug arrest   
2     -    Transporting Open Containers (Alcohol) violations 
2     - Other arrest
