Are hybrid cars too quiet for blind people?

Apparently, blind pedestrians are worried about hybrids because they run so quietly -- the pedestrians are afraid they might accidentally walk into the cars' path. (I've found that most people who drive hybrids can't stop talking about them -- maybe that will help ...)
