Tabitha Brewer and Nick Travis

Brewer This weekend was the 10th anniversary of Tabitha Brewer and Nick Travis' disappearance. The teenagers, ages 16 and 18, are believed dead, and a man named Brandon Howell is awaiting trial, accused of their murders.

Tabby's family says the case was supposed to be in court this week, but it's been pushed back to October. I can't even imagine what that must be like. Not just losing a child, but to have the entire legal process just keep dragging on and on ...

Nick's body was found a few months after the disappearance in a back yard in Kansas City, but Tabby's remains have never been found. Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Stoppers TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-TIPS (474-8477).

These kids were close friends of my stepson and were at my house the day before they disappeared. Please, if anyone knows where Tabby is, please, please, please tell someone. Her family's suffering needs to end. It is long past time.

doggydaddy, this was so sad the day they disappeared, even more sad when they found Nicks' body, and tragically sad that the family and friends still don't know where Tabitha is.

Nick Travis was my son, as hard as it is to have a 10th anniversary of his death, we must all remember Tabitha and her family who have still not found total closure. A trial would be nice. Please step it up D.A.

Sad. I had just moved to KC the week this was in the news 10 years ago. I hope her family is able to get "closure" soon. How horrible to go through this for 10 years and still have no answers.

God bless you and your family, Bill, and also Tabita's too.

Thank you for remembering and your kind thoughts & prayers

Hi Bill. My kids knew your kids. And Tabitha's grandmother... you may have closure, but it never goes away, does it? I hope your pain has abated. God bless.

Bill, for what it is worth, we truly enjoyed Nick's company. He was a genuinely nice young man, well mannered and polite. I know he wasn't perfect, but we always considered him a positive influence on our boy. He and Tabitha made a nice young couple. We miss them both. We feel for your families and find it hard to imagine the grief you must face daily. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Please, please if any one knows of any one having any information as to Tabby's whereabouts please call the tips hotline. It is strickly confidential. Her dad and I miss her very ,very much and Tom really enjoyed many a long talks he had with Nick.We have a picture on our shelf with Tom and Nick together. I miss Tabby's beautiful smile. She a lovely young lady.

I was friends with Tabitha. I met her while our fathers worked together. It breaks my heart when I think about her not around. I didn't know Nick but my friends said he was the best. Hopefully this will all come to an end soon. I am still praying for the families and that Tabitha's remains will be put to rest.

I'm Tabby's mom's cousin... I'm appalled at the news today that the suspect was acquitted... we need to find out what happened to these kids, and have justice served. We all miss Tabby very much, and her family needs closure, needs to find peace. We need to find Tabby.

I was friends with Nick in middle school and i went to high school with them both. I still think of them and wish their families could get closure! I am grown now with kids of my own and i couldn't imagine what these families have to go threw, being someone who was fond of them is hard enough. I pray for you often and hope you get answers soon.

God Bless

All our love to you all!

this is a hard subject for me and very personal..... i was the lucky one and got away..... i block it out most of the time its easier then remembering.. CAUSE TO REMEMBER IS LIKE TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE ... i will never forget when i realized who was kidnapping me and all i could think of was Nick and Tabitha and everyone from smw saying if you ever meet this person run...... i feel like i had to go threw what i did so he could get off the streets and not harm more but i just always thought it was so they could build a soiled case so he would never get out when i got the call he got off i cant even express my feelings of disgust and fear for the people who may one day come in contact with this monster cause that is what he is...... i am so sorry to the parents who's children's life he took i wish i could have helped more i thought what i went threw was for a reason and after the outcome i am sickened cause i see no purpose or reasoning for my pain it was all in Vain i used to believe that he did what he did to me because i was suffering for the greater good to get him off the streets to protect the rest of the people who he came in across .... he is a evil monster how can they let him out and the people who found him not guilty i pray you dont see blood on your hands cause if he kills again that life is on you..... u didnt stop him.... and you might as well killed them yourself cause you let a monster like this free how can you sleep at night..... i hope you dont have children cause if you do is that how you protect them is that what you want around them you believed he was so good.... would let your children be around him cause my son was 9 months AND I HAD TO BEG HIM TO LET MY SON OUT OF THE HOUSE SO WHEN HE KILLED ME MY SON WAS NOT CRAWLING THREW MY BLOOD IN THE MORNING SAD PART IS THATS THE PG RATING THAT MAN HAS NO HEART COMPASSION LOVE OR EVEN A DROP OF CARING IN IS BODY.... HE EVEN Bragged ABOUT KILLING THEM AND THEN YOU STILL LET HIM OFF..... HOW CAN YOU SLEEP AT NIGHT I MOVED OUT OF THE STATE and i still dont feel safe.... IS BRANDON HOWELL THE PERSON YOU WANT TO WALK DOWN THE STREET AT NIGHT NEXT TO WHEN HE IS LOW ON MONEY..... HE WILL KILL AGAIN I JUST PRAY HE GETS CAUGHT THIS TIME.....
