Then: California mother begs rescuers to find her teenage son, who is lost in the forest and has broken his leg!
Now: He's fine. As it turns out, so is his leg. Police say Junior was dropping acid, which made him THINK he had a broken leg, police say.

The teen's father Mark Rosenberg says the boy will be punished, adding "he probably won't get to use the car for a while."
The search used lots of people and cost taxpayers $10k.
Hmmmm, does the punishment fit the crime here?

I think the immortal P.J. O'Rourke said it best when he commented on the effects of LSD. He said that while it was widely touted as making users think they could fly, in his experience it made you think you couldn't stand up, and mostly it was right. LOL

How does the po-po KNOW his leg wasn't broken? The police aren't supposed to make medical decisions, right? They aren't allowed to make those kinds of judgment calls.
If he SAYS his leg is broken, then that's enough, and those cops better call an ambulance, quick!

Funny, no jail time for this kid? Wonder why?
