Should sex offenders be banned from volunteering at churches?

A new law takes effect next month in Georgia, and it would do exactly that. No church choir, no cooking for church meals, nothing, or else it's a 10- to 30-year sentence. Some sex offenders are suing to stop the law, saying it's unfair. A few churches oppose it, too, saying it contradicts their mission of forgiveness and rehabilitation. Lawmakers say they're trying to protect innocent people from RSOs who might relapse.
