From the JoCo Sheriff: A program to identify intoxicated drivers will be conducted this month by the Shawnee Police Department and the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office. Officers will conduct a sobriety checkpoint in the City of Shawnee in the late evening and early morning hours of Friday July 11, 2008 and Saturday July 12, 2008.

Another waste of taxpayer money for overtime on lazy law enforcement. With all of Johnson County becoming either Olathe, Shawnee, OP, or Leawood, why is JoCo hiring more Sheriff's Deputies??? Is it so they can extort more $$$$ through DUI checkpoints???
