Mmm, fresh Kansas laws ...

A bunch of new laws take effect in Kansas today, David Klepper reports. Among the crime- or gun-related changes:

"Lawmakers passed a bill toughening the punishment for stalking and wrote a new definition of the crime designed to make it easier for authorities to intervene."

"Drivers at fault for serious injury car crashes can expect to be tested for drugs."

"And cyberbullies, watch out. A new law requires school districts to come up with policies to stop students from using the Internet as a weapon."

"Authorities won’t be able to seize guns from residents in the wake of a disaster."

Jeez, I didn't know that authorities were ever able to seize my guns in the wake of a disaster. During a disaster is exactly when I would need my guns. Guess I'm pleased with that change.

Jellybean,

Think, New Orleans.
