PA woman accused of murdering pregnant lady for her unborn kid

Baby

I'm halfway tempted to stop posting these stories about pregnant women being killed for their unborn babies. The latest case is from Pittsburgh. The suspect, 38-year-old Andrea Curry-Demus, is accused of murdering Kia Johnson, 18, for her little boy, who survives.

Police say Curry-Demus brought the baby to a hospital, claiming to be the mother, and when tests showed she wasn't, said that she bought the baby for $1K. Then officers found the younger woman's corpse in her home.

The authorities say Curry-Demus has a history related to this. She once stabbed another woman in an effort to steal her kid and also stole a baby from a hospital once.

Hat Tip: Many thanks, JUNGLE JIM!

In this Thursday, July 17, 2008 image made from video and provided Friday, July 18 by KDKA-TV, Andrea Curry-Demus, center, is seen after being arrested at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh. Investigators found the body of a woman with her hands bound on Friday at the apartment of Curry-Demus, who showed up at the hospital with a newborn she falsely claimed was her's but later said she had obtained for $1,000, authorities said. So, one is only left to ask, after her criminal history why isn't she locked away somewhere?
