Inmates aren't allowed access to the Internet, but that doesn't stop them from mailing their musings, cries for help or drawings of woodland creatures to someone on the outside, who then posts them to the Internet. The Los Angeles has a story noting that a growing number of Death Row inmates, including Scott Peterson, have blogs or Web sites designed to promote their cases or just seek out pen pals. (Peterson's is here.)
Which is very upsetting to some victims' families. A couple of states -- including Missouri -- bar inmates from seeking penpals online, but most agree that blogs, etc., are protected under the First Amendment.

They are protected. End of story.

Wow...looks like all of OJ friends wrote in Scott's Blog, too bad that is all they will let you read is the one sided story of how poor Scott was mistreated by his peers in a court of law. Where is Lacy's blog??

OK. so the guy's on Death Row, and that isn't enough for the family of the victim. They want to make sure he can't complain about it?
Think how much simpler our criminal justice system would be if they had taken away Gideon's pencil and paper, too.

You have got to be kidding. Why should Scott Peterson be able to blog in prison on death row? What kind of man has an affair and kills his wife and unborn child? Just another slap in the face for tax payers that have to foot the bill for inmates to have Internet access. Please!
