Michelle Ricci

Ricci

KMBC has an interview with Karen Shannon, a cousin of homicide victim Michelle Ricci. (Richard Davis, who was just convicted of killing Marsha Spicer in Jackson County, will stand trial for Ricci's death in Clay. The other defendant, Dena Riley, has gone to trial at all yet.) Snip:

"Michelle was very bright, very intelligent," Shannon told KMBC's Martin Augustine. " She was completely naive -- didn't want to believe anyone was bad. Gave everyone the benefit of the doubt."

Shannon said Davis manipulated her cousin's naivete.

"And that is definitely a contributing factor in her death," Shannon said.
