From KCPD: On Friday, September 19, 2008 at about 10:30pm, KCMO Police Officers were dispatched to the area of 2728 Monroe on a shooting. On arrival officers found a black female suffering from at least one gunshot wound. MAST Ambulance was called and the woman was transported to an area hospital where she died from her injuries several hours later.
Witnesses reported that the victim had been sitting on a porch alone, when she was shot by an unidentified suspect(s). No suspects are in custody and anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 474-TIPS (8477).
