TKC: If only other neighborhoods had P&L-style cameras ...

Tony's Kansas City has a post here about security cams in the Power & Light District -- and laments that neighborhoods with crime problems don't have similar setups. There are some that do. Kansas City, for example, has wired up part of 24th Street. KCK has a handful, though they're more tight-lipped about locations.

TKC says the P&L setup ran about $600K to install. I think KCMO's 24th Street project was closer to $120K. At that price point, though, I'm wondering how fast we'll see them in other areas ...

Freaking criminals. Now we all have cameras on us. It's getting so I'm embarrassed to scratch my butt on the street.

Just remember, this kind of camera set up is all over the UK and Europe. It is one of the reasons that crime is so much lower over there.

You basically can go nowhere without being on cameras. Many have also wired their homes.

Jellybean, I've been wanting to talk to you about that anyway. When you dig, don't stand their so long that traffic light changes. The other day I thought you were going to dig for ever,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Obviously J/K:)
