Don't say we didn't warn you

From Mike Mansur: The Missouri Highway Patrol will concentrate extra troopers Saturday on Interstate 70 in Jackson, Lafayette and Saline counties in a special traffic enforcement effort.

The operation was announced this week by Capt. Robert L. Powell, the commanding officer of Troop A in Lee’s Summit. The troopers will strictly enforce laws related to alcohol, speed and seat-belt compliance.

To report aggressive driving, motorists can use the highway patrol’s toll-free emergency number, 1-800-525-5555, or *55 on a cell phone.
