In Illinois, legislators have passed a law that allows prosecutors to use hearsay evidence if it's from people who've already been murdered. For example, a woman tells police that her husband is going to kill her -- and then she mysteriously goes missing three weeks later. They all but named it the Drew Peterson Act, but there are big questions whether it'll pass constitutional muster.
Hat Tip: Many thanks, Keith G in PV

Lacy not only said it she wrote it in a letter. That's enough hearsay for me. Partners feel like as long as there is no body then there is no crime, even if the dead person tells someone. I say change the law.
