KC man convicted in connection with Northland homicide

From Glenn Rice:

A Kansas City man accused in the shooting death of another man who was driving to a casino has pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter.

Antoine D. Frazier, 32, initially was charged with first-degree murder in the slaying of Michael Seay, who was traveling in a caravan with friends to a Northland casino on May 10, 2006, to watch his childhood friend propose. Seay was to be best man at the wedding.

But on the way to the casino, police said, Frazier abruptly stopped his car in front of Seay’s, allowing a gunman to emerge from a car parked on the side of the road and open fire, killing Seay, who was 28.

In April 2007, a Clay County jury convicted the gunman, Alan Clark of Kansas City, of first-degree murder, unlawful use of a weapon and two counts of armed criminal action.

Frazier was sentenced Thursday to seven years in prison.

7yrs. for a murder. While some get 10 or better for drugs.

Yeah...7 yrs. That'll teach him!

Well, it's his first murder. I am sure he'll have a stiffer penalty next time.

Seems the shooter got life without parole and the guy along for the ride got seven. That seems equitable.
