More homicides in the metro

UPDATE NO. 2: The KCMO victim was Gregory Butler, 50. Christine Vendel reports that a gunman attacked him on his sister’s front porch and shot him in the face.

Butler's mother, Maude Crowbarker, believes her son was the gunman's intended target but does not know why. She said her son planned to marry his longtime girlfriend at Christmas.

UPDATE: The man killed in KCK was Peter Fopeano, a local actor whose resume included the Heart of America Shakespeare Festival. Police are still asking for tips, 816-474-TIPS.

Overnight in the metro:

A man was shot to death inside a running car parked outside a KCK barber shop. The car's back window was riddled with bullet holes.

A shooting victim thought to be in his 50s was found dead on a front porch in KCMO.
