Shawnee police investigating suspicious death

From The Star: Shawnee police are investigating the suspicious death of a woman found in her apartment late Thursday night.

According to Shawnee police, officers responded about 11:15 p.m. to the 11300 block of West 64th Terrace to check on the welfare of a woman who had not contacted any family members since Wednesday. When police arrived, they found a woman in her early 20s who was dead.

The cause of death has not been determined, and the victim’s name has not been released pending notification of family members.
