3 DUI arrests during OP saturation patrol
From OP Police: The Overland Park, Kansas Police Department conducted a DUI Saturation Patrol on Friday, November 28, 2008, in regards to the Thanksgiving Mobilization S.T.E.P. Campaign. The task was conducted with the intent to focus on seatbelt violations, reduce alcohol related auto accidents, and discourage impaired driving.
Please review the statistical results:
3 - DUI arrests
3 - Drivers tested for DUI
6 - Hazard moving
1 - Safety Belt (Adult)
2 - Other tickets issued
2 - Other arrests
8 - Total vehicles stopped

37.5% DUI arrest rate for the # of cars stopped. Why is it again that checkpoints that cost 2 to 3 times as much and net only a 1%-5% arrest rate on average even used anymore? Well, the constitution is only a peice of paper, I guess, and the Supreme Court is never wrong.

They stopped a total of 8 cars?
Was this 'saturation patrol' one additional policeman?
