Johnson County Public Safety Food & Toy Drive Touching 564 Children

Businesses like Farmers Insurance and Wal-Mart and volunteers from throughout Johnson County have once again teamed up to help those in need this holiday season. During the weekend of November 22nd, enough items (including gift cards and toys) were collected to make a difference for 223 families and 564 children.

Volunteers from the Johnson County Sheriff's Office, JOCO Med-Act, JOCO Fire District #1, Gardner Public Safety, Olathe Fire Department, Olathe Fire Department Explorer Post #2884 and the Overland Park Police Department participated. Each family participating will also receive a free smoke alarm from the American Red Cross.

Great idea to share the information James.
