The Hutch News has a good story here about Chris Orr, a sports writer from Salina who narrowly survived a freak accident two years ago. He and a friend were riding on a doubledecker fan bus when they struck their heads on a concrete bridge the bus was driving under. His friend died instantly, and Orr, as the story shows, has been dealing with devastating injuries.
